What Type Of Patio Repairs We Carry Out In Wicklow
Subsidence is a common culprit, causing slabs to sink or sit unevenly. This creates trip hazards and detracts from the look of the whole area. We lift the affected sections, rebuild the base layers properly, and relay the slabs to the correct levels and falls.
Cracked or broken slabs are another frequent issue. A heavy object dropped, frost damage or settlement putting stress on certain pieces can all be to blame. We can replace individual slabs, although a perfect match with the existing stone is not always achievable, particularly with natural materials that vary from one batch to the next.
When pointing fails, water gets in and weeds take hold. We rake out the deteriorated mortar and repoint to a high standard, sealing the joints against the weather while keeping enough flexibility to prevent cracking in the future.
Some patios were simply installed badly in the first place. Incorrect falls, inadequate bases or unsuitable materials for the location mean that any repair is only ever a temporary fix. We will always give you an honest opinion on whether a simple repair or a full lift and relay of the patio area makes better long term sense.
We also take on smaller jobs, such as relevelling sunken areas beside buildings, improving drainage, or replacing damaged edging that has let the patio spread over time. Dealing with these issues early stops bigger and more costly problems from developing.
Alongside our patio repairs, we also offer other services including new patio installations in Wicklow, limestone patio installations and more.
